Review: The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend Black Diamond
The Ford Bronco Sport subcompact SUV has been updated for 2025 with a redesigned dashboard that includes a larger digital instrument cluster and a new trim lineup.
The entry level Big Bend starts at $32,590 after recent price increases caused by the Trump administration’s new tariffs on imported automobiles, since it is made in Mexico.
On the bright side, the Big Bend also got a new optional Black Diamond package that adds off-road equipment for $2,570. It comes with real steel bumper inserts, a brush bar, a front skid plate and all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels.
The engine remains a 180 hp turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
American Cars And Racing Executive Editor Gary Gastelu drove it deep into the woods to find out how much it can handle, and found that it was more capable than expected on bumpy and sandy surfaces.
The 2025 Bronco Sport lineup also includes Heritage, Free Wheeling, Outer Banks and Badlands trims, the latter two of which can be ordered with a Sasquatch package that adds all of the Black Diamond parts plus suspension and drivetrain upgrades to further improve its off-road performance.
